Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 5 November 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Passamo is provided by Norholm, MB, company code 307698646, VAT code LT100020253510, Girulių g. 10, LT-12112 Vilnius, the Republic of Lithuania (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@passamo.com.
These terms apply to every contract you conclude with us as a consumer through passamo.com for the Passamo course “German B1 + Einbürgerungstest”. They are provided in English.
2. The course
Passamo is a digital self-study course that you use in your browser. One plan includes all five parts:
- German at levels A2 to B1: listening (Hören), reading (Lesen), writing (Schreiben) and speaking (Sprechen);
- the Einbürgerungstest (the same questions as the “Leben in Deutschland” test): the official question catalogue, the questions for your federal state, and practice tests in the format of the real test.
Exercises and exam material are in German, as in the exams. Explanations are available in several languages.
The course is for self-study. It has no teachers or tutors, and it does not include individual correction or personal feedback. Questions that are marked automatically, model answers and your progress display are there for you to assess yourself. Our customer service helps with access, your account, your contract and payments.
The practice tests are our own material, modelled on the official exams; they are not official exams. Exam registration, exam fees and the exams themselves are not part of the course. Passamo is an independent study programme and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), telc, the Goethe-Institut or g.a.s.t. We do not give legal or immigration advice. Apart from the pass guarantee in section 9, we do not promise a particular learning or exam result.
3. How the contract is concluded
What we show on the website is an invitation to order. You choose a plan, give your email address and choose a payment method. Before you pay, you see a summary of your order and can correct it. By pressing the pay button you place a binding order.
The contract is concluded when your first payment has gone through and your access has been opened. We then confirm the contract by email without delay, with these terms and the withdrawal policy.
4. Your access and how you may use the course
Your access is personal. You may use it on your own devices, but you may not share it or pass on your login. You need a device with an internet connection and an up-to-date browser.
The course content is protected by copyright. For as long as your plan runs, you have a simple, non-transferable right to use it for your own exam preparation. Copying it, passing it on, publishing it or extracting it by automated means is not allowed. If you seriously breach these rules, for example by sharing your access, we may block the access after warning you; our right to end the contract for good cause is not affected.
5. Plans and prices
You choose one of the following plans. Each plan is paid in one payment for its whole period, in advance. The first period is charged at an introductory price; every later period is charged at the regular price.
| Plan | First payment | Renewal |
|---|---|---|
| 1-month plan | €9.93 for the first month | €19.99 every month |
| 2-month plan | €17.91 for the first 2 months | €39.99 every 2 months |
| 3-month plan | €23.94 for the first 3 months | €59.99 every 3 months |
All prices are final prices in euros and include value added tax. The price that applies to you is the one shown in your order summary before you pay. The introductory price applies once, to your first period.
6. Payment
You can pay with the methods shown at checkout, such as a credit or debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. Payments are handled by the payment service provider named at checkout; we do not receive your card details.
The first payment is due when you order. Each renewal payment is collected automatically at the start of the new period with the payment method you chose; by ordering you authorise us to do so. If a payment fails, we may try to collect it again and may pause your access until it is paid. If it remains unpaid, the plan ends.
7. Term, renewal and cancellation
The contract starts when it is concluded and runs for the period of your plan. It then renews automatically for the same period each time, at the regular price in section 5, until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time and without giving a reason, by email to support@passamo.com from the address of your account, or in your account. A cancellation that reaches us before a renewal date stops that renewal. We confirm every cancellation by email with the date on which your plan ends.
After you cancel, you keep your access until the end of the period you have paid for, and no further payments are taken. Payments for a period that has already started are not refunded, unless the withdrawal policy, the pass guarantee or the law says otherwise. Both you and we may end the contract without notice for good cause.
8. Right of withdrawal
As a consumer you have a statutory right to withdraw from the contract within fourteen days. The conditions, the consequences and a model withdrawal form are in our withdrawal policy, which is part of these terms.
9. Pass guarantee
If you complete your study plan and still do not pass your exam, we give you your money back. The guarantee applies when all of the following are true:
- before your exam, you completed every lesson and every practice test in your Passamo study plan;
- you sat the official Einbürgerungstest or an official German B1 exam (Deutsch-Test für Zuwanderer, telc Deutsch B1 or Goethe-Zertifikat B1) while your plan was running or within 30 days after it ended;
- you did not pass that exam; and
- you write to support@passamo.com within 30 days of receiving your result and send us a copy of it.
We then refund the payment you made for the plan period in which you completed your study plan, within 14 days and to the payment method you used. The guarantee can be used once per customer. It is in addition to your statutory rights and does not limit them.
10. Changes to the course and availability
We may change the content of the course for a valid reason, for example when exam formats or the question catalogue change, to meet legal requirements, to correct errors, or for technical and security reasons. Such changes cost you nothing, and we tell you about them clearly.
If a change makes your access to the course or its usability more than slightly worse, we tell you in advance by email, and you may end the contract free of charge within 30 days of that message or of the change, whichever is later.
We aim to keep the course available without interruption. Maintenance is carried out, where possible, at times when few people are learning. Your rights in the event of defects are not affected.
11. If something is wrong with the course
The statutory rules on defects in digital products apply. For as long as your plan runs, we provide the updates needed to keep the course in conformity with the contract.
12. Liability
We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where the law does not allow liability to be limited, such as under product liability law.
For slight negligence we are liable only if we breach an obligation that is essential to the contract, and then only for the damage that is typical and foreseeable for a contract of this kind. Otherwise our liability is excluded. Your statutory rights in the event of defects are not affected.
13. Customer service and complaints
For questions about access, your account, your contract or payments, write to support@passamo.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer to a complaint, you can contact the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority of the Republic of Lithuania (Vilniaus g. 25, LT-01402 Vilnius, vvtat.lrv.lt) or the consumer protection body in the country where you live.
14. Emails and data protection
We send you the emails that are needed for the contract, such as your order confirmation, access details and payment and cancellation confirmations. We send marketing emails only if you have separately agreed to them, and every such email contains a link to unsubscribe. How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy.
15. Applicable law and final provisions
The law of the Republic of Lithuania applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. This choice of law does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you habitually live; if you live in Germany, the mandatory rules of German consumer law continue to apply to you. You may bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live.
If a provision of these terms is or becomes invalid, the rest of the terms remains valid and the statutory rules apply in place of the invalid provision.
